Tooth Gems FAQs
Q: Will a tooth gem damage my teeth, will it lower my enamel and cause tooth decay?
A: It won’t stain your teeth. Or damage them in any way. Doesn’t cause tooth decay unless you wear them for years and years, which never happens. Only last the most about 6 months. What is used for the tooth gems is the same if not as close as what is used for braces.
Q:How are tooth gems attached?
A: The gem is glued with a dental composite glue and the bonding procedure is the same that an orthodontist uses to attach braces, which leaves the tooth intact and allows an easy removal. The adhesive is applied to the tooth, the gem set in place and light cured for 60 seconds to harden the composite.
